Marty is one of the better known and accomplished Spey style Steelhead fly tyers. Though he lives in Utah which has no steelhead, he is accomplished at tying, casting, and instructing others in catching these magnificent fish in the PNW.

Southern Appalachian Nymphs tied by Rex Wilson

Rex Wilson is one of the best fly tyers and fly fishers in the Southern Appalachians. He is at home on both large tailwaters and tiny mountain rills that hold the elusive and gorgeous native Brook trout. Rex also is at home fishing in Montana's storied waters, but his first love are the native Brook trout of his home mountains. Here are a collection of nymphs Rex ties and uses for these small but wonderful trout. All of these patterns have bodies constructed of a soft plastic that gives them a soft feel when taken by a trout.
