Materials:

Hook:             Blind eye salmon hook to suit (here Partridge Adlington & Hutchinson Blind Eye Code CS6 size 5/0)

Eye:              Twisted gut or braided Dacron 30# (here braided Dacron rubbed with Snow Seal silicone paste)

Working
Thread:          White or other light color 6/0 non-bonded thread (here Gudebrod Tan BCS#94 6/0)

Tag:              Silver twist with yellow silk floss

Tail:              Topping with sprigs of tippet

Butt:             Black ostrich

Body:            Three turns of yellow silk floss; remainder gold color seals fur

Rib:               Silver oval tinsel

Hackle:          Gold color with black center from floss joint; tuft of gold color mohair at shoulder (here Coq de
                    Leon cape hackle feather white with black list and tips dyed gold)

Wing:            Gold color mohair and bronze peacock herl (two-thirds mohair, one-third herl) arranged
                    approximately 2/3 of the mohair over the peacock herl over 1/3 of the mohair)

Head:            Black thread covered with clear finish (here 6/0 Gudebrod BCS#118, finished first with Griffs thin
                    head cement and then several coats of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails clear nail polish)
